Wheatfield - A Confrontation, is an artwork by Agnes Denes from 1982 and was the first image that came to my mind when trying to express how I felt yesterday. The images themselves are beautiful and there is plently of significance to her piece that I'm sure I dont have to explain but I have linked her studio website below.

Obviously there was plenty of newfound meaning post 9/11 with the images that came from her work, such as the one I used in my collage "Blue Sky, World Trade Center" or "Harvest" and " Green Wheat" (See Below). But on a day like yesterday I couldnt help but feel the uncertainty of the day and contemplated on my own personal leveling of the scales. One day we will all be seeds once again and return our matter to this universe we have justified.
How timely. 25 years later. A whole different generation... Microfilm from Denes work was put into a time capsule to be opened in 2979, in the 30th century. Though the original text from 1982 does say "There are, still within the framework of this project, several time capsules planned on earth and in space, aimed at various time frames in the future." It can be hard to feel motivated to believe in time capsules. Is this something we the people of the furture need to see? How does the artwork change with a new generation only knowing part of the story? How does the artwork change now that one of the pillars of her original message have collapsed?

Despite today being a Tuesday I just woke up in good spirits. Excited for the Sox game today.
Successfully used "Cubs Fan" as a deragatory term at the party last night. Lets hope the Sox have better luck today. Hopefully it being an afternoon game doesn't hurt em too bad. Can't overthink it.
Someone told me today that they thought it was "cute" that I was handing out resumes by hand, that theres a "charm" to it. I said "So how'd you get this job then bitch!?" I'm half kidding but, as someone who has applied to more jobs in my life than I have intestines to stretch.. Lets just say I've applied to a lot. I'm sure if you are reading this and found your way here, you might've felt the same at some point. In this world I choose to create and live as I see fit and don't know if I want to work somewhere you can't just go in and fuckin' talk to someone. I think some might think it's prentious but seriously? We live in a huge city. Applying through some third party ass creepy site has never been the only way. I can walk into somewhere and have a wonderful conversation with someone and the moment I mention if they are hiring I can tell they've got their "linked in-schpiel" ready and even they hate it. Like, bitch.. Wasn't linked in a professional profile/stalking site a few years ago? Cubs fans talk about Linked in like its Instagram. Anyways...

After the movie I took the bus and met someone who sat behind me. I believe I may have been one of the few people in the room to not have already seen the movie. I made a post just in case that person wants to make some friends.

Seeing Crash at Eyewash Station tonight. Very Excited. Will update. I feel like everybody loves Cronenberg but I have a very middle of the web representation of his work. Almost an appropriation of what people have gathered after viewing his movies. The last and only Cronenberg movie I remember was Naked Lunch and I promise you it was very literal to my then situation. No New updates on the sabrina contest :(

It is absolutely pouring here in Chicago. The rain was much needed.
Learning hiragana is still hard and I will have to continue practicing while I type. but for nowI swear to god if the damn favicon is not working I might lose it. Just to then spend 10 mins on it and get it all back.
